The most powerful of all Buddhas & Main Deity of Samurai Buddhism (Fudo-Shu)

Of all the deities, the only Deity to never lose a fight is Almighty Fudo Myoo which is why Japan is the only nation never colonized. The only time Japan lost a war is when the Buddhist temples were closed down by the government and Fudo Myoo removed from His role as Protector of State. This shows a direct correlation between Fudo-sama and the protection of the nation. In fact, when the Mongols were going to invade Japan, special prayers were made to Almighty Fudo and the Mongols were defeated. Similarly, during the most important war in Japan's history at Sekigahara, the Shogun prayed to the Almighty Fudo Buddha and carried his statue into battle with him -- thus winning the war and uniting all of Japan for the Golden Age of Japanese art, culture and peace as a whole. The scriptures say that Almighty Fudo-sama defeated the Hindu deity Shiva in battle and that He pertrifies all Hindu deities including Brahma the Creator, Vishnu and Shiva. Similarly, when Christians were invading Japan, Tokugawa ordered 5 temples dedicated to Almighty Fudo-sama at key points across Japan and the Christian armies were repelled. Therefore, praying to Almighty Fudo is very important as it ensures the Nation itself is protected.
